The Back to the Future Project by Irina Werning

Did it ever occurred to you at young age and wondered how you would like in 20 years? Well, a photographer from Buenos Aires named Irina Werning builded this wonderful project called Back to the Future series. She’s taking different people’s old pictures and recreates them in the same space, almost with the same clothes and of course with the same person with an average 20 years older from the original picture. I really admire the attention she took to recreate those pictures with a touchy and hilarious feel at the same time.

I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future.
