I love ballet! And yes, like many other girls, when I was a kid I dreamed about being a ballerina. So when a friend sent me the link to photographer Dane Shitagi‘s project, NYC Ballerina, I was totally amazed. Dane’s images capture the beauty and elegancy of ballet dancers in a landscape that by itself is already breathtaking, New York City.

Even if you don’t like ballet, the photographs are so beautiful and inspiring that you will like them. It is a mix of subtle and strong, clean and dirty, quiet and noisy. The perfection of ballet movements in a city that bring dreams to live, really beautiful. We will show only a few images here, so make sure to check out The Ballerina Project Facebook page to see more inspiring images. 😉

The New York City Ballerina Project grew from the idea of New York City as a magnet for creativity; each photograph is a collaborative work of dance, fashion design and photography played out against the city’s landscape.
