Jeff Sheldon is the face behind the t-shirt brand of Ugmonk. Graduated in 2008, Jeff always had a passion for all things design. What started as a simple idea became into a brand and mindset centered around Jeff’s love for typography and minimal design. Ugmonk is now celebrating its 5th Anniversary and now shipped to over 55 countries around the world. Also they have been able to donate over 10 000 meals to needy children around the world.

No matter how big the brand gets, I want to keep the personal touch and service that people have come to know about Ugmonk.

Ugmonk didn’t start with a formal business plan and in fact I had very little background in business. Rather than following the “traditional” model of starting a business, I just tried to apply common sense and research to figure things out as they came up. I’ve found that the best way of learning is by doing. Ugmonk will always remain a design-driven brand where design and quality comes first.

Robocop was definitely one of my favorite movies growing up. Being such an ultra-violent movie, I was pretty stunned by the story of a dead man coming back to life as a machine, and it seems the idea is being freshened up with the release of Robocop’s reboot by José Padilha.

One of the main things that got fans mad is the fact that Robocop’s classic design has been changed for a black one, but it seems that during the movie we’ll actually see homages to the classic body. Although people are still pissed about it, it’s clear that some fans would rather have their Robocop redesigns in the movie, and man, they should. I’ve picked some pretty cool examples of fan-made redesigns for the Robocop body. Some of these are pretty fantastic, some trying to maintain the classic look, others going outside the box and doing something completely different from source material. Pretty solid effort here.
