The small house is a project by Maryann Thompson Architects and is located in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA. Conceived as a modest one-room cabin, the house packs a kitchen, living, dining areas and two sleeping alcoves into just 750-sf; a 500-sf screened porch and sleeping loft create a thick threshold between inside and out. Wrapped in Western Red Cedar inside and out, the structure seems to recede into the landscape. From the outside, the house dialogs respectfully with the landscape. On the interior, the cedar frames and reinforces the woodland setting.

After showcasing a lot of huge houses I decided to close the year with a small, cozy and beautiful cabin. A place that is a mix between a tree house and a peaceful fairy tale cabin. I wish all of you a great 2012! 😉

Alright!! My last post of the year and of course it would be the meeting of my favorite subjects: Comics and Illustration! Searching something nice to show you guys I ran into these amazing reboots by Aaron Diaz.

Aaron came up with some super sweet designs for DC’s characters, making them really fresh and quite different from what we’re used to. And of course, I’m really thankful for all of you who kept checking my posts during this year, and I hope you keep enjoying it during the next!
