Following our not-so-regular series of UI Design, today we’re featuring a beautiful, simple app for sketching freaks out there! The Paper app for the iPad is definitely a must have, and rejoice: it’s free.

Its UI design is really simple, yet intuitive, featuring many sketch styles, and even some painting methods. You can keep a journal, take notes, and many more nice things for those who would walk around with paper for noting your every thought. Formed in 1988 in Barcelona, ??Spain, Roldán + Berengué are part of the scenery of the Catalan city, with interesting projects of public buildings and residences.

Miguel Roldán was born in Ceuta in 1961 and Mercè Berengué was born in Barcelona in 1962, both received their degree from the Technical School d’Arquitectura in Barcelona in 1988 and 1989 respectively. Roldán participated in several courses as a teacher also in American universities, Berengué has worked with the amazing offices SOM and Frank Gehry in Chicago.

Together they formed in 1988 in Barcelona, the firm Roldán + Berengué. Over the time the work of architects became part of the Catalan city, in the form of public and residential buildings. Among other works, often produce solutions and urban planning, with projects in other Spanish cities.
