Video Inspiration is a weekly(ish) post where we either feature a specific artist or show a sort of “best of” list of videos we’ve discovered during the week. Everything here may not be brand new, but we felt it worth sharing with the community. The Skirt + Rock house is a project by MCK Architects. The project was a renovation of a modest bungalow, the clients needed more space to their family and they also wanted a better connection with the garden, sunlight and air. The garden was very important and a big rock that sat in the hill to the hear of the house became the focal point of the new architectural composition. The spaces are wide and well positioned so the client can enjoy all the natural light and breeze. Large sliding glass windows integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a modern and beautiful house.

This place is incredible. The way they planned the house integrating the nature around it in the project is really nice. The wide spaces and the living room connected to the garden are great. Definitely a great place to live! 😉
