Sketching is great way to grow as an artist. But it’s not just a step in the path to become a illustrator, but it can also be an artist’s speciality, which is awesome.

Some artists have evolved their sketching techniques and began doing mixed media pieces like these below, by artist Charles Santoso. His pieces are really well done and lovely. His use of pencils are great because he keeps that sketchy feel to it and adds up using both traditional media or photoshop for colors, and it gives us some great results.
