Black and White Photos of India

Black and White Photos of India

When you think of a colorful country, which one comes through your mind? Maybe Brazil, but most certainly India is the country anyone would classify as the place of a thousand colors. But it doesn’t mean that seeing India in black and white will make it less amazing.

Captured by a few great photographers, these amazing photos show us India in a way we’re not very used to. It shows us that India is much more than just colors and a happy people, but also a introspective place, with people battling their way through poverty and just surviving. It’s definitely a place worth visiting, for everyone to see that there’s more out there, away from our comfy couches and home theaters. For more of these, please, visit each photographer simply by clicking each picture. They’ll really enjoy your appreciation. Cheers! 😉

Magic Realism Art by Paul Bond

Magic Realism Art by Paul Bond

The deeply symbolic art of Paul Bond draws from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, where dreamlike elements are blended into realistic atmospheres to uncover a deeper understanding of reality. Bond’s art illuminates a world where anything and everything is possible. They are uplifting illusions that delight the imagination and stir the soul. Bond shares the following about his work:

“Altering and juxtaposing familiar objects gives me the visual symbols that become the language I use to reflect emotions or thoughts that I’m entertaining at the moment. Very often paintings are born from something randomly seen from a car window or a line in a poem or song. If it stirs my curiosity and touches my heart, it finds its way into my work.”

Bond’s award-winning magic realism paintings have been featured in galleries, museums and cultural centers, including the Gateway Museum in Farmington, NM and the San Diego Art Institute. His paintings are now in private collections throughout the US, as well as Australia, Germany and England. Corporate collections include the Hotel Hershey and PB&J Restaurants, and his art is featured in many contemporary art publications.
