Architect Day: White

Founded in 1951 by architects Sid White and PA Ekholm, White’s office has more than 10 studios in Europe and has projects in over 50 countries worldwide.

The firm was founded in Gothenburg in 1951, soon followed a development projects line based on a culture of multidisciplinary thinkers who seek solutions beyond the casual. Partners architects Sid White and PA Ekholm still in the 50’s received their first project commissioned after winning the competition for an experiment of a residence. From there began to develop various residential projects in the region.

Over the years, White start to developing urban projects and committees of hospital projects. In 1990, White and Office Coordinator joined and became the largest architecture practice in Sweden. The merger created the possibility of designing more works nationwide and internationally. Now White has offices in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK, with full projects in over 50 countries in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
