World architecture reference Dominique Perrault, has accumulated awards and their projects was selected in important international competitions. With a career spanning over 30 years, his projects continue to impress.
Dominique Perrault was born in Clermont-Ferrand in France in 1953. In the 70s he received his diploma in architecture from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, also completed studies in city planning and is graduate in History. In 1981 Perrault opened his own office that has been developing projects in several countries. Besides the Paris office, since 2006 he can count with a new office in Madrid.

In 1989, a 36-year-old Dominique Perrault won the international competition for the National Library of France in Paris. This design has projected him as a reference in world architecture. Also he won wide competitions such as the Velodrome and Olympic Swimming Pool. With the development of new projects the awards began to appear. In 1993 he won the Great National Prize of Architecture in 1997 and the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion Award for European Architecture.
