Popular Mechanics 110th Edition
I was asked by Popular Mechanics to do a type based design for the cover of their 110th Anniversary Edition. After an initial round of ideas we settled on a style that was a modern spin on the decorative printing styles from the era the magazine was conceived in. This is the final design I sent them, but the final colours were tweaked by the client before going to print to maxamise shelf impact. I will update the project with a photo of the printed cover once I get a copy
X Games 2011
I was commissioned by ESPN to create key art for the youth marketing for the 2011 Summer and WInter X-Games. The commission was to create sports based thematic scenes, extra characters, type hits, logo treatments and patterns that could then be used by their various suppliers to create products and advertising.
Nike – Create The Future Pitch
At the end of 2011 I was asked to pitch on the identity for an internal international Nike conference. Unfortunately my work never went past the pitch stage. These are some of the initial explorations as well as the final pitch treatment.
Murals
I was commissioned along with several other South African based designer/illustrators to create various murals for a large Financial Institution. Each mural was to be unique in style and execution and was mean to communicate a core brand value.
