Today we will show you the beautiful House Serengeti in Johannesburg, South Africa, a project by Nico van der Meulen Architects. The house is elegant, modern and cozy. The materials, colors and textures deliver a classy and exquisite environment. I specially liked the stone walls, stairs and other glass details. Definitely a great place to live.
Description from the architects: House Serengeti is the perfect balance of earthy textures and raw materials, against high gloss finishes and refined elements. According to Rudolph van der Meulen of Nico van der Meulen Architects, the brief was to create a stylish family home with an ecologically sound design that maximizes indoor-outdoor living.

The double-storey home, which consists of an open-plan living area downstairs, an upstairs pyjama lounge, study, and four en-suite bedrooms, was the ideal answer to the brief. The glamorous aspect of the home is subtle yet distinct, the building materials used make for easy maintenance, and the indoor -outdoor living applications are effectively maximized. All in all, it’s a winning trilogy for modern living.
A big thanks to Busisiwe Dhlamini from Nico van der Meulen Architects for sending us the pictures and info for this post.
