We’ve seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we’ll assemble a perfect office, and we’d like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?
Not only gadgets and equipment, but also furniture, sound system, gaming stuff (for lunch time!). A designer is totally allowed to dream with the perfect office, and that’s what we’re gonna do here! Also, tell us your suggestions, or even better, you may tell us via twitter, using #abdz_ofc so we can check it. Alright? I hope you guys enjoy this brief selection.
Hedgehog Pencil Holder
Hedgehog Pencil Holder from Japan’s rakuten, cool! (at Like Cool)
Hidden Bookcase
This hidden bookcase turned your home into a stealthy secret lair. The hidden bookcase folds in half by sliding on steel tracks embedded in the floor and built into the header panel, both of which are completely hidden when the bookcase is in its normal unfolded position. Fill the thing up with books, and nobody will know this secret book. (at Hidden Bookcase)
Boya Lamp
A small reclaimed-wood table lamp that resembles a marine buoy. The beams come from the structural building framework of large barn and industrial buildings constructed of old growth American oak trees. (at Moco Loco)
AirMouse
The AirMouse is basically a glove that you put on which interacts with the computer and enables you to move and work just like you usually would with a mouse, but in mid air. This is way less likely to strain your wrists, so it is a better choice for many people who haven’t been able to use a computer since they were injured. Is this the future of computer interaction? Corsair Flash Voyager Slider USB 3.0 32GB
USB 2.0 flash drives are fast… until you have to be somewhere and you’re waiting for a 4GB file to copy. Everybody deserves the freedom of USB 3.0. If you have a newer PC or notebook with a high-speed USB 3.0 interface, Flash Voyager Slider is an affordable way to take advantage of it. USB 2.0? It does that too. High-speed USB 3.0 transfers are a time saver, but not every computer you’ll meet will have the latest standard. Full backward compatibility with USB 2.0 has you covered. Not only is Flash Survivor USB 3.0 backward compatible with USB 2.0 — it offers great performance, too. No matter how up-to-date your PC is, you’ll be able to quickly take care of moving your files and be off on your next adventure. (at 7 Gadgets)
DIY BTTF Delorean Time Circuit Clock
The BTTF clock was made by Adafruit as a proof-of-concept type deal and it’s so very beautiful. Adafruit has provided the Internet with detailed instructions on how to build your own, so make sure you follow them when building the clock. (at Gizmodo)
